About

John, a native northerner (and now based in Angel, London) is a graduate of the University of Salford where he studied a BA (Hons) in Media and Performance (2002).

In 2003, John appeared in Skint Productions’ Guts at the Edinburgh Festival, which received rave reviews and was long listed in The Stage Ensemble awards. He then worked with the company for 3 successive New York International Fringe Theatre Festivals until 2007.

Recently John's acting roles have grown starring alongside Marc Warren (Hustle) as the comic support in the feature film, Do Elephants Pray?, as well as two Shorts - Hammered written by and starring Noel Clark (Kidulthood, Adulthood and Doctor Who) and the Irish Film, A Sporting Jaunt.

John has worked extensively in the voiceover field; he was lead announcer during the high profile re-branding of Virgin 1, part of the award winning ITV2 Continuity team (receiving the Digital Channel of the Year award 2008), live announcer for the terrestrial channel, Five and can also be regularly heard on Discovery Turbo. John has also performed Promos for various TV channels and corporate narrations.

Recently, he has begun to develop his writing and hopes to have a stage play and short film in production soon.

Accents include Lancashire, Manchester, London, Cockney and RP.

John is a friendly, malleable, consistent performer with a cheeky northern hint to his voice and he is regularly re-employed on this basis.
